Senior Engineer

• Salary circa $45-$75k dependent on experience

The Role
The position is generally a software programming role for windows based applications where you will work as a part of a successful software programming team.

In the role you will have to be able to work autonomously at times and also work effectively as a part of a team of highly skilled individuals who understand the intricacies of the programming and software design. You will report directly to the Project Manager.

You will have to be capable of generating software design and testing documentation, viable software code and have good engineering problem solving skills.

Your role will be to design and build software based on detailed specifications. You will also need to provide a level of software testing, and package software deliverables for deployment.

The role is a full-time work position.

Your Profile
You are ideally experienced with .net C# language, MySQL or similar database experience, and familiar with programming for serial and network (TCP/IP) communications. Experience in other programming languages is an advantage (particularly Delphi, but also Matlab, C), as is any electronics knowledge.
 
You are a positive person with a great attitude and good communication. You are self disciplined and comfortable working in a structured environment.

The Role
The position is generally a broad engineering role for a marine electronics design and build project, where you will work as a part of a successful project team.

In the role you will have to be able to work autonomously at times and also work effectively as a part of a team of highly skilled individuals who understand the intricacies of hardware and software design and integration. You will report directly to the Project Manager.

You will have to be capable of investigating standards compliance (including military, marine and IEC standards) for incorporation into system and hardware design, completing system test programs, generating design and testing documentation, investigation and implementing design options, and have good engineering problem solving skills. You also have good organisational skills, and are familiar with Quality Assurance systems.

Your role will be to research and implement design options, run systems level test programs, conduct quality audit and assurance, and organise production.

The role is a full-time work position.

Your Profile
You ideally have military and/or marine engineering experience, or have experience across several engineering disciplines that could be applied. You have a broad range of engineering knowledge and skills so that you can be employed across many aspects of the project.
